The School of Electrical Engineering

The School of Electrical Engineering (formerly Electromagnetic Engineering Department founded in 1991) started to recruit students from 1997, and was renamed Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology Department in 1999 and renamed School of Electrical Engineering in 2009, subordinated to Division of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering. So far, altogether 1,350 students have graduated, and currently there are 554 undergraduates, 177 Master degree candidates and 38 Doctor degree candidates in the school.

At present the school has 42 teaching and administrative staff, including 14 professors and researchers, and 15 associate professors and senior engineers. In addition, 10 teachers of the division(not involved the school) are in charge of this program’s teaching management and student management. Their responsibility is to educate the students on non – technical ability and quality. It has established Electrical Engineering Primary subject Doctoral Program, and the discipline of Electric Machines and Electric Apparatus is a key discipline in Liaoning province. The School is equipped with Electrical Engineering Central Laboratory and Innovative Practice Base of School of Electrical Engineering, and has collaborated with ETAP Automation based in Silicon Valley to build Electric Power System Analysis Laboratory. The Division has a national level Electrical and Electronic Experiment Demonstration Center.
